Please feel free to look around. While this is my personal home page a good part of the information here is dedicated to the members of my genealogy club, the California Genealogy club. I founded CGC in Aug. of 1999 because I didn't like the public genealogy chat rooms. I wanted a place where people would be able to talk about genealogy and not have their conversation interupted with rude people or spam. In the development of the club, we decided early on that having fun with genealogy was the only way to go and so this is our only rule in the club. HAVE FUN! If it is not fun we don't allow it.
Membership in our club is free and we stress as many free genealogy sites as possible. Several of us have subscriptions to the larger organizations and are more than willing to do look-ups if asked.

One of the great things about having a genealogy club is being able to watch people make connections. We have had many members connect with each other Also in order to make the club a family oriented place, new members messages are pended. This is so spammers will not be allowed to post URL's to adult sites or advertize in our club.
