For those libraries that are not on line, you often can arrange for a loans. Contact your local library to see if the information you are interested in is avalible for inter library loan. There may be a processing fee for some loaned material and many times the material needs to be viewed at the library and may not be checked out.

Alexandria Library
Collections include: compilations of birth, death and marriage records; church and cemetery information; microfilm copies of the Alexandria Gazette, the local newspaper; and biographical information about prominent local people and families. The Center for American History has five divisions, located in four different regions of Texas and each serving a unique purpose.
DAR [Daughters of the American Revolution] Library
Collections include genealogy records, biographies, histories, manuscripts, and periodicals. Onsite databases include HeritageQuest and Ancestry.com. You may also search the online catalog of the library's holdings.
Ladson Genealogical Library - Vidalia, Georgia
