Most of the information in this Hubbard Family collection
was gathered by Irvin W. Hubbard. Starting in 1960 with pen
and paper and a manual typewriter. Irvin and his wife Harriett
began the task of collecting information that involved a visit
to New England cemeteries and libraries. Along the way they
acquired the Harlan Page Hubbard book "1000 YEARS OF HUBBARD
HISTORY." In the year 2000 as we look back on the task they
undertook without the aid of computer, printer or scanner and
the vast resources of the internet we are amazed at how much
they did accomplish. And now, as Irvin's son, I am left with
a far easier task, although important, to verify, and verify
and refine the information before passing it on to the next
generation. With the world at my fingertips I can only wonder
what the coming years will offer to those of us in our quest
for our family history
